Background

The Addison Arbor University was created to reward and encourage attendance of the residents at the Addison Arbor Foundation quarterly education events as well as provide recognition and increased awareness of the Foundation's mission.

University Style

The Addison Arbor University will be done in a university format. That is, the residents must complete eight credits/classes over a period of three years. One credit/class is obtained for each quarterly Addison Arbor foundation education seminar that the candidate attends. Four of the classes are electives. The electives are any non-required classes. The following four classes are required; 1) recycling, 2) efficient use of home irrigation, 3) composting, and 4) an overview of the Town of Addison's plans for creating a great urban environment.

Record Keeping

The Addison Arbor Foundation will handle the record keeping. But we need the students help too. The course work must be completed in three years from the student's enrollment.

Classes

The first class was in February 20, 2010 and there are additional seminars held four times a year.

Certificate

Upon completion, the students will receive a certificate, acknowledgement on the Addison Arbor Foundation website and recognition by the Town council.
