Addison Community Garden
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The Addison Arbor Foundation, in conjunction with the Town of Addison, is pleased to announce our latest urban development project--the Addison Community Garden.

The establishment of a community garden ranked 3rd on the Addison Parks & Recreation Department resident survey conducted in April 2009. The combined leadership of the Arbor Foundation and the Park & Recreation Department along with the support of the Town and the participation of our resides will make this project a tremendous success.

Community gardening has been a part of many North Texas communities for over 20 years. Addison too is embracing the community garden movement and responding to our citizen's interests.

Location and Participation

The Addison community garden is located on Beltway Road at the southwest corner of Addison Athletic Club property (across from the entrance to the outdoor pool).

Participation is open to Town of Addison residents. Charter memberships began in early July with volunteers pledging 50 community service hours and a $100 donation.

If you would like to participate in the Addison Community Garden, please download and complete the Adopt-a-Plot and Release of Claims forms then send them to the Addison Arbor Foundation.

The Addison Community Garden grand opening is scheduled for September 2010.
